Brabham recently celebrated its inaugural NAIDOC Week celebration on Saturday 8 July 2023, bringing together the community to honour the Traditional Owners and showcase Honeycomb Park.
The event saw over 200 attendees, including First Nations peoples and representatives of various cultures, participated in the event. Community groups such as Brabham Blokes, Brabham Multicultural Club, Brabham Racers, and BeFriend supported and organised activities for the event.

• The community enjoying delicious bush tucker, provided by Kuditj Kitchen.
• Elders conducted a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony, sharing their cultural knowledge.
• Binar Dancers from Binar Futures captivated the audience.
• Southwest region Elders led Story Time with traditional artifacts and enchanting stories.
• BeFriend organised arts and crafts for kids, fostering a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.
