Christmas Closure 2024

From the Peet Team, we wish you and your family a safe and happy festive season.
It's certainly been a big year for us, and we are excited to see what the future holds for our community.
We will be taking a short break over the Christmas period. Please note that our Sales and Information Centre will be closed from Thursday 18th December 2024 and will re-open on Saturday 4th January 2025.
In the meantime, we wish you and your family a very special and safe festive season and a Happy New Year!

On Friday 6 December 2024, The Avenue Estate hosted a fantastic Christmas Party and the launch of the very first Christmas Lights Trail Event. With 80 residents attending, the evening was filled with drinks, snacks, ice cream, and great conversations, creating a vibrant community atmosphere.
The Christmas Corner and festive elves were big highlights, bringing extra fun to the evening and creating an exciting photo opportunity!
The night wrapped up with the exciting reveal of the Christmas Lights Trail Map, lighting up the neighbourhood. It was a fantastic community celebration, and we look forward to more moments in the New Year at The Avenue Estate.
Spring Garden Success at The Avenue Estate

On Sunday 15 September 2024, residents gathered for the much-anticipated “Spring in the Garden” hosted at The Avenue Community Garden, and it was a delightful day!
With beautiful weather and a stunning garden backdrop, the event attracted an amazing turnout of enthusiastic gardeners.
Attendees had the opportunity to learn valuable gardening techniques, including proper planting methods and tips for maintaining healthy gardens.
The shared knowledge and enthusiasm created a wonderful atmosphere, fostering community connections among gardening enthusiasts, both beginners and pros.
Thank you to everyone who attended! We look forward to more events celebrating our vibrant community garden!
The Avenues Spring Playgroup

On Wednesday 11 September 2024, residents of The Avenue gathered for the first Avenue Kids Playgroup session in Traffic Park, and it was a fantastic success!
The event enjoyed perfect weather, drawing a great turnout of families eager to connect.
The children had a blast exploring a variety of activities organised by our local daycare centre, Little Learners. From creative crafts to engaging games, there was something for every little one to enjoy.
Parents took advantage of the opportunity to meet their neighbours and share a warm cup of tea, fostering community spirit and building community connections. We look forward to more playgroup sessions in the future.

WA Premier Mark McGowan has just announced a further $20,000 Building Bonus between June 4, 2020 and Dec 31, 2020 to build a home.
This is on top of the $25,000* federal HomeBuilder grant that was announced on June 4 2020 as well as the $10,000* First Home Owners Grant. So, Western Australians who are eligible for the Commonwealth HomeBuilder grant could receive up to $55,000* in bonuses!
Plus – if you’re a first homebuyer:
- With the WA Stamp Duty Concessions, that means you could qualify for up to a HUGE $69,440* in benefits!
- And, if you need to borrow over 80% of your property value, you can apply for the First Home Loan Deposit Scheme and avoid paying Lenders Mortgage Insurance (LMI).

Neighbourhood Play at The Avenue

On Wednesday 30th July 2024, The Avenue Estate in partnership the City of Armadale hosted a Neighbourhood Play Session for the community, which took place in Traffic Park. The event, which lasted two hours, was a massive hit with the kids, who had a ball playing with Vera and Friends Playgroup, while parents and carers took the opportunity to chat and enjoy some morning tea. It was heartening to witness the community connections being made and to see the children having such a great time.
For the community, the play session was a success in several ways, helping residents to connect with one another, planting the seed for ongoing community support, and increased awareness of local services. A big thank you to everyone who attended and see you next time!

Our new park has arrived!
The Avenue's 1.3 hectare Traffic Park and Playground is now open, following consultation sessions with the local community about its design.
Traffic Park and Playground features a transport theme (which will be carried throughout future parks within the estate), a custom bike track with road rules, a bus play structure, equipment for younger kids, a multi-sports floor, BBQ and picnic facilities, and much MORE!
You can find it along Lexington Avenue, located off of Rowley Road.

Peet Welcomes HomeBuilder Grant

The Federal Government has revealed its HomeBuilders scheme which will provide $25,000 to eligible Australians to build or renovate their home.
What is it? The new grant will give Australian home buyers access to a $25,000 grant to go towards the cost of building a new home up to the value of $750,000, or to assist with renovations of between $150,000 and $750,000.*
What does this mean? If you’ve been planning on building or renovating your home, now is the time to do so! Imagine how a $25,000 grant could help with your new home purchase. The grant comes into effect immediately and is available to couples with a combined income of less than $200,000 per year and individuals earning less than $125,000 per year.
Why now? The HomeBuilder is available for a limited time, so if you’ve been considering purchasing a new home, it is the perfect time to start that process now. HomeBuilder requires contracts to be signed between 4 June 2020 and 31 December 2020, and construction to commence within three months of the contract signing.

The First Home Loan Deposit Scheme is here

The Federal Government’s First Home Loan Deposit Scheme has come into effect!
The scheme aims to help eligible first home buyers on low and middle incomes gain a foothold in the property market. They now only need to have a minimum 5% deposit and won’t be charged Lenders Mortgage Insurance, with the National Housing Finance and Investment Corporation (NHFIC) providing a guarantee for the rest!
The announcement means you may not require as big a deposit as you first thought. Hurry, there's only 7,000 spaces left this year! Check out if you're eligible below.
The Avenue & Hilbert Park Mini Golf Tournament

On Sunday 22nd September we held a Mini Golf Tournament at The Avenue Sales and Information Centre, inviting residents from both The Avenue and Hilbert Park. It was a great community event with many catching up with their neighbours and a great sense of friendly competitive spirit.
Congratulations to our The Avenue resident who took out the top prize!
