Meet the Residents
Find out below why some of our current residents have already made the move to Lakelands Estate.
Gert Cordier
We elected to settle in Lakelands due to the central location of the area. It remains close to schools, shopping centres and easy access on to the freeway.
We also was taken away by the sheer beauty of the area, Black Swan Lake and the surrounding park, open the freedom of walking around the area feeling save.
With the addition of the TransPerth train station near completion, yet again it opens up the opportunity to get on public transport and the freedom of getting the kids to schools, and University.
We truly love and enjoy our peace of earthly heaven!

We chose build in Lakelands Estate due to the quality and also quantity of parks in the area that keep the beauty of the natural estate. There are still beautiful big trees throughout the estate that roads and houses have purposely been built around to keep the feel of nature in our area. Another big perk of this area is the incoming train station! This will cut any travel time to Perth down and come in handy when our kids are older to have independence the travel into Mandurah city centre or the city.
We love the two beautiful big lakes and that the nature reserves sit untouched. There are also other big beautiful parks nearby with massive ponds that wildlife such as frogs and ducks thrive in.
We definitely feel privileged to live in Lakelands and thank Peet for the beautiful estate they created.
Suneetha Paniker
I was looking for a safe community to build a new home and some friends mentioned Lakelands, which I’m very glad they did! I am very excited. This is my first new home and I couldn’t be happier.
It’s a very clean, well-planned community that I’m looking forward to calling home. There are lots of parks and open space where I can go walking and enjoy the fresh air.
I prefer to use public transport and Lakelands is only minutes to Mandurah where I work and is well-serviced by buses.
Benjamin Gardiner
The ambience of the estate really appeals to us. It’s an attractive area with lots of open space and a strong sense of community. Importantly, Lakelands feels safe.
We really love the way Lakelands is designed around public open space. There’s a real sense of community but it’s only minutes away from the beach and the conveniences of Mandurah.

Meet Suzanne Hymers
Suzanne is a mum of two who loves living in Lakelands Estate. The convenience of walking the kids to school and having the shops just around the corner are just a couple of the many things that this family love about Lakelands.

Dianne Jackson
Dianne Jackson can’t wait to fit her busy schedule into the Lakelands Estate lifestyle after taking advantage of Peet’s Seal the Deal campaign last year which offered discounts of up to $20,000 off selected blocks. She is now aiming to move in to her first new-built home at Lakelands during the second half of 2018.
Dianne works as a drug and alcohol counsellor in Mandurah and at home looks after her three cats Tigger, Chino and Oscar and dog Kip; plus keeps horses and has a pony for the enjoyment of her three young granddaughters, all aged under four.
A qualified art therapist and educator, she runs workshops at her Meraki Art Therapy business at the Sacred Earth Sanctuary in Silver Sands.
“A lot of women in Mandurah have retired and come from other areas and so don’t have the social networks here. The workshops can be very therapeutic in providing a great way to make new friends and have social engagement with people from within their community.”
Meraki is a Greek word of Turkish derivation which means: a labour of love; to do something with soul, creativity, or pleasure.Jamie Walsh
I enjoy the Lakelands lifestyle and couldn’t think of living elsewhere. It’s a good place for families, with lots of open space, yet it’s also close to great golf courses and fishing spots.
Rodney & Mary Cunningham
Mary and I are social people. We like to get to know our neighbours in Lakelands and it is certainly a friendly community.

Samantha and Richard Crossley
Natural bushland, beautiful lakes and easy access to the beach were major drawcards for Lakelands Estate buyers Samantha and Richard Crossley.
“It all just sort of fell into place,” Samantha said. “It’s just a lovely area. It has the lakes and nice bushland, and you still see some wild kangaroos.
“It’s close to the freeway and that’s important as Richard works in Malaga doing mechanical repairs on fire engines and large vehicles, so has to make the daily commute north for work.
The Crossleys are building with Smart Homes for Living and are currently planning to be in their new home for Christmas 2018.
