Winning edge for local footy club
The mighty tigers at the Midvale Junior Football Club have been kicking goals at Ron Jose Park for 65 years this year and they are still going strong with several teams looking to make the finals once again this season.
With more than 200 young footballers ranging from four-year old Auskickers through to Year 10’s registered this year, Peet’s Movida Estate was pleased to extend its partnership with the club into its third year to provide a range of new equipment to make training and game days a whole lot easier for coaches and players alike.
The year 8 team who don the Movida Estate guernseys is holding top of the ladder and looking to back up their premiership win from last year.
Midvale Junior Football Club’s Fundraising Coordinator Ryan Finnerty said the new equipment has had a massive impact on the local club.
“This partnership means a lot to us,”said Ryan.
Over the past few years Movida Estate has helped us get our All Abilities clinics up and running which we now provide and is now providing us with the equipment we need to ensure our whole club runs smoothly. As a Movida resident myself, it’s also great to be part of a partnership between my community and our local junior footyclub.
The club has a proud history of producing superstars – including current AFL champions Nic Naitanui and Michael Walters. The elite players grew up together on the same Midvale Street, started their careers at MJFC, and both went on to play for Swan Districts before being drafted into the AFL.
