Riverbank is all about being family and neighbour friendly while ensuring outdoor activity is a joy, rather than just another chore on your to do list. Over one third of the community is dedicated to open space to ensure that being healthy and happy is made easy.
 
Riverbank features 60 hectares of green open space, including the first phase of the new Lightwood Parklands, and is graced with walking and cycling tracks, established playgrounds, extensive green space, as well as picnic and barbecue spots that provide every reason for you to get out and explore. Whether you’re on two feet or two wheels, the adventure never ends when you live at Riverbank. Below we've provided just a taste of the nearby activities to raise your heart rate and enjoy the beautiful Queensland sunshine.

Lightwood Parklands Now Open!

The first phase of the new highly anticipated recreational precinct is now open to the public, with a playground, basketball half-court, pump track, shaded meeting areas, barbecue, gym equipment and foot kick-about field, there's something for everyone!

Upon completion, Lightwood Parklands will cover an impressive 25.2ha of green open space along a 1.5km stretch of the Caboolture River. With walking and cycling tracks and direct access to the river to look forward to, the parklands offers a great contribution to our neighbourhood.

Bring the family down to Waterside Esplanade at the end of Suter Drive to check it out!

Riverbank is merely minutes from Morayfield Shopping Centre and Woolworths while local child care, primary and secondary schools will have you spoilt for choice.

Transport links are also conveniently close by, with Caboolture and Morayfield train stations within a short, five minutes drive. There’s even a bus stop that can have you directly departing from the estate. The brand new Riverbank Bridge connected to Market Drive also provides easy access to the Bruce Highway when you want to head to Brisbane’s CBD (45 minutes) and the Sunshine Coast (40 minutes). 

All your sports and recreation needs are served up on a platter too, with Caboolture Indoor Sports Centre, Aquatic Kids Swim School and Centenary Lakes’ Sport Complex all within easy reach.

Your health, dental and home handyman needs are met too, with Caboolture Public & Private Hospital, Morayfield Road Medical and Dental Centre as well as Bunnings and Masters close enough to well and truly call them local.

You’re living in the heart of nature’s playground. 

A huge 60 hectares of Riverbank has been set aside as parks and public open space, making it easy to head outside and enjoy some fresh air. A number of playgrounds, picnic and BBQ facilities and relaxing walking and cycling trails will also be yours to explore every day.

Kings Beach Caloundra near Riverbank

Day Trippin to Caloundra

Caloundra is an aquatic paradise where you and your family can enjoy a wide range of water activities like kayaking, paddle boarding, windsurfing, fishing and jet skiing. For nature lovers, the Pumicestone Passage is an ideal spot to get up close and personal with a variety of migratory birds as well as dugongs and dolphins.

Kings beach is a family favourite, between the enchanting rock pools, the child-friendly water fountain with its time-delayed surprise spurts of water, the oceanfront saltwater swimming pool, and the gentle beach break with protected swimming areas, a Kings Beach road trip is totally exhilarating.

Beerburrum State Forest near Riverbank

Big day out at Beerburrum State Forest

The Beerburrum State Forest is located on the Sunshine Coast, just half an hour north of Riverbank. The Beerburrum and Beerwah State Forests are located on both sides of the Bruce Highway.

The Beerburrum State Forest is best known for its magnificent views of the Glasshouse Mountains as well as its role in protects the few remaining coastal rainforests in the region.

You will find a range of short walks where you can explore the forests which lead to magnificent views of the Glass House Mountains. Many people come to Beerwah and Beerburrun State Forests to go four-wheel-driving, trail bike riding, horse riding and mountain bike riding.

Quick trip to the beach

Wherever you go on Bribie Island, you’ll find something special – it’s a whole Island waiting to be explored. The region’s world-class shopping, restaurants, bars and galleries are encircled by stunning beaches, pristine national parks and the magnificent Pumicestone Passage. Wonderful memories are just waiting to be made on Queensland’s Bribie Island.

Plus the best part is it's a quick 25 minute drive away.
