Kicking goals at Aston Fields
Aston has hit the ground running with the State Government announcing $2 million in funding to bring forward the completion of the Aston Fields sports pavilion. This is in addition to the $5.65 million of construction work due for completion in early 2018.
Aston Fields will be over eight hectares in size, or five times the size of the MCG playing area and will include three soccer pitches and a cricket oval. It will also include a huge adventure playground, gardens and barbeques, perfect for family picnic after a weekend soccer match.
The Craigieburn City Football Club will have the home ground advantage with Aston Fields being their new home turf.
Every Aston resident will have easy access to Aston Fields through a network of bike and walking paths.
We’ve got sport covered for you at Aston!
