Doors Open at Coastal Lakes College.


Monday 4 February marked a special milestone for Lakelands Estate with Coastal Lakes College opening its doors for the very first time!

This brand new school welcomed over 200 year 7 students and features state-of-the-art facilities, including an outstanding inclusive education hub, with a hydrotherapy pool, rooms for physiotherapy, occupational therapy, life skill lessons and regular classroom lessons. 
 
The school also boasts a number of other impressive facilities, such as a dedicated performing arts centre, inclusive of a dance studio and a film and television studio, commercial kitchens and art rooms.

Coastal Lakes College was officially opened by Education Minister, Sue Ellery in a special ceremony on Friday 15 February.

The event saw the attendance of students from the college's academic specialist classes, the minister Mandurah mayor Rhys Williams, Mandurah MP David Templeman and college principal Kya Graves.

The college is already gaining a lot of publicity as an inclusive school with a dedicated specialist education area for students with disability. 

Stage 2 is anticipated to commence in 2021, which will expand the college with more classrooms accommodate over 1,400 students from Years 7 to 12.
At Lakelands, we're excited for what's to come for the students and the community and look forward to being a part of it.
