National Tree Planting Day - 28th July 2023.

In line with our commitment to drive sustainable outcomes in our communities, this year we implemented a national initiative to recognise National Tree Planting Day in schools across the country.

At Village Green, we partnered with Palmview State Primary School to take part. Interface Landscapes donated 500 tree saplings to our Village Green community to provide to Palmview State Primary School. A sapling was given to each child after their assembly on Tuesday 25th July.  Jonathon Lawson spoke on behalf of the Peet team at the assembly to provide the kids with a background on Village Green, including our current and future parks (this was a popular topic on the day). We were also lucky enough to hear from Greg Stratton from Evolve Environmental Solutions, he shared with the students all about caring for the trees and the best way to plant them when they took them home.
