Wheely great family fun at Saturdaze Big Day Out
It’s official – Flagstonians love their shiny machines!
There were plenty on display at this year’s Saturdaze Big Day Out car show, which saw 4,000 people out in force and having fun. An assortment of beauties rolled into Parklands Drive for this much-loved community event, which showcased everything from classic cars to custom rides with flashy paint jobs – not forgetting motorbikes and trucks. As well as the vehicles on display, food trucks, market stalls, a sausage sizzle and a licensed bar made it a great day out for the whole family.
Organised by Mondaze Media and sponsored by PEET, all ticket funds went directly to the Flagstone Men’s Shed, which raised more than $4,000. Motorbike enthusiast, Mondaze Media Owner and proud Flagstonian Jae Martin, said the event was the most successful yet.
“We’ve been running Saturdaze Big Day Out for three years now, and this year was the biggest it’s ever been,” he said.
“As well as the community members, it was fantastic to see people flocking to Flagstone from across southeast Queensland, all coming together to have a look at all the vehicles in the show."
"We purposely make this event a showcase of all different types of vehicles so that there is something for everyone’s taste. I took my Harley Davidson this year and it was great to get to talk to all the different people on the day."

What’s next for car lovers?
Rev heads are in for another feast of automotive excellence on Saturday, 19 October when Flagstone’s SuperCARnival rolls into the community ahead of the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500. The annual event always pulls in a crowd, with plenty of family fun on the agenda, including a huge car display, live demonstrations, meet and greets, DJ and entertainment. You could even win a money-can’t-buy Gold Coast 500 race day experience.
Don’t miss out on the chance to rub shoulders with Supercars drivers, jump in the simulator hot seat, enjoy slot car racing and go-karts or go for a lap around Flagstone in the Supercars Safety Car or the Repco Rider.
