$250 Million Forestville Project Launches First Homes
Today marks the launch of Peet’s newest community in Adelaide, Forestville, with the release of twenty-seven architecturally designed terrace homes within the first stage.
Developed by consortium members Peet, the Commercial Retail Group, owners and operators of Frewville and Pasadena Foodland, and local developer Buildtec, Forestville will deliver a range of housing options and amenity to this modern and thriving community.
Peet’s terrace homes will feature two and three-storey dwellings that overlook landscaped community open space, and will feature light-filled luxury interiors, three bedrooms, rooftop terrace gardens, internal courtyards, provisions such as EV charging and battery storage, and double off-street parking. Civil construction is already well underway and first homes are expected to commence construction next year.
Mark Devine, Peet State Manager SA commented, “The release of the first homes at Forestville marked a significant milestone for the project with new homes close to the city in high demand.
The newly released terrace homes have been thoughtfully designed to suit the location and lifestyle on offer for future residents at Forestville.
While secluded, the homes will also be only a short walk into the bustling Market Square, shops, cafes and restaurants and other amenities available at Forestville.
Future residents will be just 2kms from the CBD and well connected for an easy commute by road, train, bike or on foot.”
Accompanying the launch of the first stage of homes, a unique ‘Demonstration Space’ will open providing a taste of what future residents and visitors will enjoy. This unique space will incorporate Forestville’s sales and information centre, a ‘mini supermarket’ run by Adelaide’s Finest, Pom Pom (a café and restaurant operated by leading hospitality group Fam Group Pty Ltd), Mache coworking space, Youth Inc school and an events space.
Upon completion, Forestville will host six distinctive precincts – residential, retail, hospitality, education, commercial and tourism. It’s central hub, The Agora, will form a market square with open-air cafes, eateries, supermarket and specialist retailers. The Agora will be enjoyed by residents and visitors with approximately 250 high-quality apartments, 71 terrace homes and short-stay apartments to cater to varying life stages and lifestyles.
Spero Chapley, Director of Commercial Retail Group said he felt privileged to be developing and activating this unique site on the city fringe.
“The lifestyle at Forestville for future residents and visitors will be unrivalled with the project incorporating a bustling market square and retail precinct, eateries, Urban Green School and rooftop Urban Farm and diverse residential living.Integrated seamlessly into the wider Forestville suburb, it will be a community where people can live, play, work and learn.”
Forestville will comprise 30% dedicated open and green space, with approximately half being publicly accessible reserves, the market square and public realm. The other portion will be via rooftop activations at the Urban Farm which includes an Urban Green School, operated by Youth.Inc, where 17–24-year-old students can learn about sustainable food production, urban farming and business skills and practice their learnings of regenerative agriculture.
Today, Mark Devine, SA State Manager, was joined by consortium members to celebrate this significant milestone for the Forestville project. They planted the first trees for Forestville at the Demonstration Space to highlight the importance of sustainability and the significant role that fresh produce plays within this community.
